Thomas C. Green is an American defense lawyer. He has represented American politicians against allegations in published cases. Clients have included Robert Mardian in the Watergate scandal, government officials in the Whitewater scandal, Richard V. Secord in the Iran-Contra scandal, and former House of Representatives chairman Dennis Hastert for alleged personal misconduct.

Early life and career
In Green's first big case in 1974, he began by helping lawyer David Bress in defending the alleged Watergate Consortium Robert Mardian. Shortly after the trial began, Bress fell severely ill and Green replaced him as the sole defense attorney.
Green has been a long-standing manager of white-collar crime defense practice at the law firm of Sidley Austin, in Washington D.C.
In 2015, Green served as former defense lawyer House Speaker Dennis Hastert.
It was reported in January 2018 that Green represented Rick Gates' political consultant in Mueller's investigation.
