In an unusual court hearing, Mesereau summoned Santa Barbara District Attorney, Thomas Sneddon, to the witness seat and examine him under oath. Mesereau and Yu are the chief justice lawyers in this case. The trial took place from January to June 2005 and ended with Jackson being released from all 14 indictments against him. Called "Realtor to the Stars," Babajian was once the highest grossing real estate agent in the United States. He has sold the house to Barbra Streisand, Bruce Willis, Warren Beatty, Lee Iacocca, Beyonce, Victoria and David Beckham, Oscar De La Hoya, Nicolas Cage, and others.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office claims that Ms. Haro masterminded various attempts to kill her husband, Garrett Warren. Warren is a successful stuntman performing in the film Mission Impossible III, Avatar, and Iron Man 2. Prosecutors say Ms. Haro hired his brother, punished drug dealer Manny Haro, and three others to kill Warren. During his divorce with Claudia Haro, Warren opened his front door and was shot four times, losing one eye.

The gunman, Jorge Hernandez, received life in prison in a separate trial. Haro's brother, a self-confessed broker, also received life imprisonment. He agreed to testify against his sister. After the jury selection begins, Ms. Haro begged "No Contest" for two counts of attempted murder with a twelve-year, four-month sentence. As time passes in Los Angeles County Prison before being released on bail, Ms. Haro will serve about eight years in prison.

His appearance prompted the judge to reschedule the trial with a motion by Knight to dismiss murder, attempted murder and accusations of hit-and-run. On January 22, 2016, however, attorney Stephen L. Schwartz replaced Mesereau as defense attorney for Knight. Schwartz and colleague Thaddeus Culpepper were later replaced by criminal defense attorneys Antoine D. Williams, Jamal Tooson, and Jeremy Lessem on May 9, 2016 as well.

On April 26, 2018, a jury found Cosby guilty of a cruel sexual assault against the three. Each of the three counts carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
